The Fishin' Hole

It was Harry’s favorite time of the year.  Summertime, late evening, with a cool breeze blowing the heat of the day away.  At last it was time to head down to the ol’ fishing hole.  It was a special place that he had been going for half of his ten year lifespan.  First, hand in hand with his Dad, and now that he is “older”, he’s been walking there on his own for the whole summer.

The allure of his favorite fishing spot kept him going through his chores of the day, and something about being able to walk there on his own now made it extra special.  He always agreed to be home before the sun was completely down, which worked out perfect.  The fish were usually biting in the late evening and it was cooler, but deep down there was another reason Harry was ok with this curfew.
